Blog Sunday: Christmas Craft Haul

Welcome to the first of my Christmas-related blogs! As I've already done most of my minimal Christmas shopping I thought I'd share a haul with you. I will be crafting most of my presents and using these crafty decorations.

6 Tartan Gift Tags, W H Smith - £1.49
I love the pattern on these gift tags. Can be used as tags to remind you who your presents are for or as decoration.

3 Christmas Ribbons, W H Smith - £4.99
These ribbons come in three different thicknesses and patterns and have a myriad of uses. I particularly love Merry Christmas one.

Adhesive Christmas Decorations, Tiger - £1.00
Having never heard of Tiger before, I have been in 2 local stores in London in the last week and love it. This Danish chain is amazing value! Adhesive stickers/decorations can be used on your own Christmas cards or as part of a Christmas present decoration (e.g. on top of a jam jar). Be careful though, these Christmas stickers do look nice but the sticky backing did come off on some of them.

(Re)Organisation Series: My Walking Stationary Pouch

Yet more credit must go to Miss Organizedlikejen for the inspiration here. I bought a day-to-a-page 2013-2014 organiser and A3 clear popper wallet from WH Smith and hey presto! I have all my stationary needs in one place to grab on the go!

Here's what you'll need for a walking stationary pouch:
A3 Popper Wallet WH Smith
Organiser/diary/journal
Clear plastic case with assorted stickers/labels
Clear plastic case with pens, Post-It notes, ruler
3-sided ruler

See you soon for more of 'the organisation project that turned into a thousand'!

Simple Organisation Solutions for Offices and Home

Compartmentalizing things you might not use often into clear plastic box (e.g. Tupperware, Lock'n'Lock) can be a great space saving solution to storage. Not only practical but also makes finding things quicker as you can immediately see the contents of each box.

Keep a folder of stickers and labels for labelling storage containers and boxes or creating a 'reward system' sticker chart for daily chores or activities. It works for children, so why not use it to motivate you to stay organised and keep you on track?

Keep a labelled folder containing all you important documents (driving licence, passport, birth certificate, etc.) so that you always have it at hand and know exactly where they are when you need them. I use my favourite butterfly folder from John Lewis. Never miss a holiday, deadline or bill due to disorganisation again!

Back To School: Stationary Haul/Supplies

Sticky Notes:
I like Post-Its for daily to-do lists, sticking in agendas/academic diaries, or writing down key information for revision.

Fineliner Pens:
I use coloured Staedtler fineliner pens mostly for revision.

Colourful Stickers:
Great for marking tasks when they're completed, revision, or generally brightening up your notes/agenda.

Index Cards:
I love using colourful flash cards to summarise and learn key information during revision. As a dyslexic I find it particularly focuses my mind on what I need to learn for specific exams. I keep them in a plastic folder to keep them clean and neat when I pop them in my school bag.

Pens:
I find Uni-ball pens the only ones that I use daily for work, mostly because they flow properly and encourage me to write more. Always a bonus!
